Justice

Description:

“Unseen Justice” portrays the timeless struggle between truth and entrenched injustice, drawing inspiration from the story of Joseph and Potiphar’s wife. In this dramatic scene, Joseph’s upright stance reflects moral integrity as he resists the false accusations and manipulations of Potiphar’s wife. His red robe, clutched by his accuser, becomes a symbol of dignity under attack—temporarily stripped but never destroyed.

The fiery tones enveloping the figures suggest the heat of opposition faced by those who challenge powerful systems designed to favor the privileged and deny a voice to the vulnerable. Yet, amidst the conflict, there is an unshakable sense of hope: God’s justice flows, often hidden but ever-present, bringing restoration in ways beyond human understanding.

This piece serves as a striking parallel between Joseph’s wrongful imprisonment and the journey of asylum seekers today, who endure prejudice, misinformation, and systemic barriers that seek to silence and oppress. Yet, just as Joseph’s story reveals, God’s justice prevails even in the darkest and most unexpected moments.

Through “Unseen Justice”, Mathenge challenges the followers of Christ to confront injustice with boldness, champion truth, and advocate for those marginalized by society. It is an invitation to the viewers to reflect on their role in standing against injustice and being vessels of truth and compassion.
